Kevin Williams : Chief Technical Officer
Kevin Williams is the Chief Technical Officer at Wynyard Aesthetics Academy, WAA offer Level 4 and 5 industry qualifications in Laser, IPL and advanced needling. Kevin has worked in the laser industry for over 30 years and is one of the original inventors of Laser hair removal as well as numerous other technologies and procedures.
Kevin is without question one of the most experienced people in the UK when it comes to laser hair removal and has developed his own techniques for treating difficult conditions such as lighter hair types. Kevin has a strong scientific background but is also very aware of what the market is looking for and he has been involved in many new UK product launches.
Helen Gordon : Managing Partner
Helen Gordon, our Managing Partner has over 30 years experience in the education, training and professional development field, is educated to University Level 7 with an MSc in Human Resource Development, Helen also has the Diploma in Business Excellence – European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
Helen has worked at local, regional and national government levels and was responsible for setting up a very successful, vibrant training and professional development brokerage across the North East of England. Helen worked across 12 Local Authorities, 2 Strategic Health Authorities and numerous other organisations developing and delivering skill based accredited programmes within the education framework set by government for the special educational needs sector. The Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF) identified her work nationally as ‘an exemplar model of best practice’ and this model was rolled out across England through the nine Government regions.
In 2009 Helen developed her own business in providing a range of accredited training programmes for schools and looked after children’s sectors both locally and nationally enabling learners to achieve a specific skill in their chosen discipline and to provide for better outcomes for disadvantaged and vulnerable children.
In 2015, Helen met her now business partner Kevin Williams, and they set up The Wynyard Aesthetics Academy LLP. Helen has used her professional development expertise and applied this as the framework in the development of The Wynyard Aesthetics Academy LLP. In doing so she has brought together a range of educated, qualified and experienced practitioners from across the sectors of aesthetics, dentistry, medicine, laser technology and beauty to develop a robust modular programme of accredited professional development that is both accessible and affordable.
Recently, Helen has been appointed as the Director of Curriculum and Admissions for the City of London Dental School, where she has developed in partnership a new University validated degree programmes the MSc (Clin) Specialist Practice of Aesthetic Non Surgical Interventions that will become available from the Autumn 2020.
Nigel Matthews : Course Trainer
I have 30 years experience in medical and aesthetics laser and IPL sales and training. I have worked with several of the largest energy based light system companies in the world and some smaller ones too. I am delighted now to be working in association with Wynyard Aesthetics Academy and my friend and ex-colleague “Mr Laser” Kevin Williams. My experience is now ready to pass on to others starting up with the Laser and IPL level 4 “Core of Knowledge” course.
